Hope it is a direct permanent sale rather than the rumoured loan to permanent sale.

If he plays rubbish or gets injured again they might not take the permanent option.

Plus we could do with the full funds now to get somebody else in.

Pretty sure it's a FFP thing, it is a permanent deal but for accounting purposes, we're lodging the bulk of it as coming in next year, a slight hedging of the bets if we don't get promoted.

Not overly fussed about what transfer fee we do or don't get for him, think it's much more important that there is a good sell on fee for the next transfer. Of all the players we've sold (and that includes Benteke) in recent years I think he's likely to go on to some great things. There is a really really good player in there and if the injury doesn't hold him back we'll be seeing a lot more of the lad on the world stage.

bbc now saying loan + option to buy for £13.5mil afterwards, which would be a very good deal. No clue if that's an obligation to buy ala sanchez though.

13.5 million confirmed?  Why would somebody pay that when we'd previously agreed to sell for 7million to Sevilla?

Either way, hopefully this will loosen the purse strings a little - cover for the left side and potentially a striker needed.

It's a loan deal with a view to a permanent deal , I'd expect any further signing to be a loan for us , can't see us buying anymore this summer.

Good luck and hope he does well. One would have wanted to keep, but Taylor is nailing down the LB spot anyway, who will cover if he's injured/suspended? Bjarnasson?! The Board might need to have a look at the transfer market for this...

Good luck. Always committed and respectful. Could have been very different without that injury.

My thoughts exactly. Good luck Jordan!
