Jareth Posted August 1, 2017 VT Supporter Share Posted August 1, 2017 Not fussed. An unexpected £7 mill in the kitty should give us some wiggle room in January, but then Amavi staying also ok.
Jareth Posted August 5, 2017 VT Supporter Share Posted August 5, 2017 £10 mill will do nicely http://sportwitness.co.uk/two-aston-villa-transfer-fronts-five-year-contract-offer-e10m-deal/ L’Equipe have it differently on Saturday. The French newspaper also go with Marseille interest, but state the move would be on loan with an automatic clause making it permanent for €10m. VillaAlex
Also reported by Mohamed Bouhafsi, one of the most reliable journalists for transfer rumours. So probably has legs this...

Even before FFP clubs didn't literally hand over £10m on day one of the signing, players transfer fees tend to be paid by installments over a period of time anyway from what I understand. But yes there must be some kind of background financial shenanigans about why it's become popular. No doubt it will come out in the wash when the practice is banned in a few years time. sne
Nice current LB Brazilian Dalbert is about to sign for Inter Milan for about £22m. Pictured having his medical there just now. Avami back to Nice in the next day or so? Would not surprise me one bit.

tismyk
Jordan Amavi finally looks set to depart Villa The Frenchman could be set to depart at the second time of asking Jordan Amavi looks to be the latest Villan to depart, with reports indicating that he is set to join Marseille. According to French publication BFM TV, the leftback has agreed to a four year deal with the French club. Translated from French, the report indicates that Amavi will depart on an initial €2m loan deal, with an automatic option to buy next summer for €8m. Just weeks ago, Amavi was set to sign for Spanish side Sevilla, before a controversial failed medical saw the move fall apart, much to the displeasure of Villa’s owner. The amount would recoup a large percentage of the £9m fee that Villa paid for his services in the summer of 2015. In addition, it allows Amavi a return to a familiar league, whilst clearing some room in the Villa squad, so that Steve Bruce can stop saying the phrase “box clever” for a few more minutes. The 23-year-old began his career with Nice but found neither consistency in play nor confidence from Steve Bruce to match his talent through 44 appearances in the claret and blue. Selling him below his purchased value represents another misstep in player development at Villa Park and ends another chapter of the ill fated 2015/16 summer transfer window https://7500toholte.sbnation.com/2017/8/8/16115214/jordan-amavi-finally-looks-set-to-depart-villa Edited August 8, 2017 by tismyk
