He didnt move like an athelete, and somehow he didnt have any kind of of aura about him suggesting he felt at home on a football pitch. The Fun Factory Posted June 1, 2017 Share Posted June 1, 2017 At the time I thought it was a decent signing. Guy in his 20s, already with England caps and part of a succesful side at City. It was a chance for him to rebuild his career and he had a decent game on his debut. Even the few times he played right back for us, he at least looked competent, but at center back, he is godawful. That does not excuse his lack of effort to do what he's paid handsomely for. Its not like he's looked motivated to get back on the pitch over the season is it? He's more interested in being the class clown (see other players views on him) and we've allowed him to be. He is a piss take of a player and a drain on our resources. To be perfectly honest with you imo he has always been way over hyped - I never got what the fuss was all about when he had a run of games early in his career at City and somehow found himself in the England set - up. In my view he has always been a legend in his own lunchtime and I could not understand the excitement when we signed him as I always knew he 'd get found out.
