Jimzk5 Posted May 31, 2015 Share Posted May 31, 2015 I think this season has gone as expected, after last season and another meagre transfer spend and failure to strengthen the team I think most on here had us tipped for relegation or definitely struggling. The start gave us hope it would be different, we were defending well, clinical in front of goal, we looked like a team, then we played arsenal and its been largely shit since that game last October. 2 long spells of failure to win, or even get a point from games compounded by the misery of even failing to score in them, the traditional Christmas spell and the traditional villa Christmas performances, **** all to celebrate over the festive period. The highlights of the season were the cup run and wins over west brom but the most significant event was the hiring of tom fox, without whome we probably wouldn't have sacked lambert and would very definitely been relegated.
