... in this day and age I vote for who I want, and not to stop someone I don't want. If the consensus doesn't agree, well sadly thats it, thats democracy.

This is how I've been voting for decades. The problem is the chips the pig f***ing Tory piece of shit put on the table. The implications for the the kids and our generation in our dotage are beyond profound.

Fair points but being a lying racist **** doesn’t necessarily mean he would run the country to the ground...

As we saw with TTIP, Johnson's plan is to empower corporations, American corporations at that, vs Parliament and the State. Even Obama did this in the US. Now we have Trump.

If people are thinking this is the model to aspire to? Consider relocating to the States.

Being a lying racist bastard though does suggest that when he tells you things like he won't be flogging the NHS off to Trump or that he won't be downgrading workers rights then he is telling you a pack of lies.

Glad to see Tahir Ali has been selected as the candidate. A great trade unionist, from my own union, the CWU. ✊

Roger Godsiff standing as an independent though and risking splitting the labour vote. Mind you, it was huge labour majority last time (nearly 34,000) so should still be OK.

Leave supporting, LGBTQ+ baiting, "laziest MP in the UK", Roger Gorsiff should be seen off by any decent candidate, you'd hope.

You would think, however, this is the British public we are talking about.

I think he’d be seen off by a donkey with a red rosette pinned to its arse tbh

According the BBC Labour are reporting that the attacks originated in Russia and Brazil. You'll never link it to the Russian state but most likely had some kind of state direction.

Russia's neo-cold war strategy has been to destabilise western democracies in anyway possible so it makes sense to attack a party that is seemingly keeping the Remain door open.

They've paid good money for the tories to win, so they wouldn't want that to have been wasted, would they?

Tweeting about McDonald's workers getting £15 an hour...

That's the kind of shit that doesn't get him elected, McDonald's staff getting paid more than nurses and policemen "pay them more too!!!!" with what? People see straight through it

And that's before you then look at McDonald's reaction which will be overhead reduction either through more order terminals or reduced quality (!) and then value recovery via passing the increased costs on to the consumer

He seems on a quest to stop people earning money and making a profit, give everything to those at the bottom without any concern as to why they are at the bottom or why those he is targeting are at the top

I seriously doubt that the number of people annoyed by his tweet in the manner you have been, is larger than the combined workforce of UK fast food restaurants, so frankly this tweet seems to me to have plenty of upside (campaigns for fast food worker payrises have been both reasonably popular and quite successful in the States).

He's trying to get McDonald's workers £28k a year salaries

Starting salary for a nurse is £24k

Policeman £20-23k

Fireman £22k

Teacher £24k

Because McDonald's are a hugely profitable company they should pay their unskilled unqualified staff more money? That's bollocks

The starting salaries in those professions is way too low and has been pretty much stagnant since 2010.  You throw another 10k+ onto those staring salaries then 28k for someone working at McDonalds seems perfectly reasonable.

The Tories have presided over a race to the bottom culture for the masses but it doesn't have to be like that.

That's the problem with encouraging McDonald's workers to strike over pay

If he wins and presides over government what happens when everyone who gets paid from that government does the same!

Everyone in the country getting a £10k pay rise? Cool, I'm sure that's realistic
