Rover...

Businesses don't do all that well after sponsoring Villa do they? Seems to be the last refuge of companies on their last legs.

'We're totally screwed. We're going bankrupt. What are we going to do?'

'You know what we have to do...'

'No... Please god no. Things aren't that bad yet'

'I'm afraid so'

'Hello? Doug Ellis?'

If Villa kill off Cadbury I'll be very upset.

Ha! I never really thought about it, of the last few years I suppose quite a few have struggled, except for Müller and Acorns are doing ok.

Cadburys are Kraft now, they should be ok hopefully.

I haven't bought a Villa top since we've started using gambling companies as sponsors.

I refuse to walk around advertising something I don't agree with.

Is daftbet still going to be our sponsor next season?

I'm not sure mate, someone else will likely know, but there was talk of Tom Fox negotiating a sponsor which "related to our history as a club" or something, so perhaps they'll get a local business... I know we've all wished for it, but cadburys would be amazing!

Mita Copiers were bought out by Kyocera

maybe?

Dunlop... They have a fairly big Brum presence, maybe they'd be up for it. Although to be honest the trend in sponsors these days is towards gambling/casinos, pay day loan companies and airlines, less consumer products than there used to be.

Remember when Sega Dreamcast sponsored Arse, then Sega went tits up on the hardware and just did software.

As we have,nt won a trophy for a while, how about Virgin for a sponser ?

But we have won a trophy before.... ;)

Is there a company called "Dry Spell"?

Davenports had the IP rights bought by Highgate Brewers of Walsall and continue to make the original Davenports beer now. It's really quite good too.

As mentioned earlier, Mita were bought out by that Korean tech firm, who sponsored Everton recently.

I really would like Cadbury, I think a lot of us have been hoping since the dawn of time for them seeing as it's such a brum institution...now would be a logical time more than before though due to the Kraft expansion.

On a side note, it's a shame that Kraft managed to cock up the only chocolate bar I would ever buy (CDM). I've never had a sweet tooth, but the smaller size, slightly sweeter taste and stupid new block shape is just rubbish.

So OT that it physically hurts but I remember hearing a radio programme where they discussed the changes to CDM and  basically its exaclty the same ingredients and the changes oin taste are purely down to the shape of the chocolate and how is behaves in your mouth when you eat it.

I got this far and thought

"It's not THAT off topic"

Then I realised CDM didn't stand for Central Defensive Midfielder :crylaugh:

I have the same theory as to why Easter chocolate is the best chocolate.

It's purely because bunnies and bigger eggs are quite a thin layer compared to a bar or a block. It's something you can't get any other time of the year and it's better.
