Wage Bill

Would sinclairs wages now have doubled due to becoming permanent player?

Depends how much, if anything, City were paying of his wages while he was at the club, and if we gave him a pay rise over what he earned there (unlikely?) or parity (maybe?) or a pay reduction (most likely?)

Massive culling of the wage budget at the moment:

85k - Bent

55k - Benteke

50k - Given

50k - Cleverley

35k - Vlaar

35k - Weimann

25k - Lowton

15k - Helenius

10k - Luna

10k - Sylla

===

370k per week.

60k - Richards

35k - Gueye

===

95k

wow, that is a lot of players leaving this summer.

Who are we still trying to get rid of who hasn't left yet - i can only think of Tonev?

 Senderos and Bennett maybe.

I think that list misses out Delph as well - £60,000

Wow, so 430k a week?!?!?

If Zog gets on his bike we'd be close to half a million a week to play with. That's enough for 5 absurdly good quality players (that probably wouldn't come anyway) ;)

Or 10 outstanding prospects from the continent. The mind boggles.

Even with a couple of very good additions to come back onto the wage bill.....We must be capable of making a profit now surely?

If we stay in the league and get on the new TV gravy train, then we should be turning a profit even with 5 or 6 pretty high earners being signed. Happy days.

Anyone know the rough estimated wages of the new signings?

Surely if our wages are kept below last years wages then next year (with the TV deal kicking in) we should have plenty of money for a big marquee signing should adebayor move on

I would guess at Amavi and Gueye both being in the 40k range, Ayew same aswell as he played for a small French team so we've proably doubled his wages.

Crespo should only be about 20k as a team who finished bottom of La Liga wouldn't be paying their squad well at all.

  • 3 weeks later...

Would anyone want to hazard a guess what our current wage bill looks like now, % of turnover etc?

Are we finally in a position to be self sustainable.

With the influx of the new TV deal are we going to be clear for significant investment the next few years. Providing we stay up..
