Aston Villa Review: Episode 116 - Villa defeat Tottenham Hotspur and set course for Wembley

It didn't start brilliantly but the past week came up roses for Aston Villa. A 3-3 draw against Queens Park Rangers at home demonstrated both the fragility of Villa's makeshift defence and the extraordinary quality of striker Christian Benteke, whose hat-trick highlighted an otherwise disappointing night.

 

No matter, though, because Villa got their unexpected win. Benteke was on the scoresheet again as Villa won 1-0 away at Tottenham Hotspur, leaving Tim Sherwood's side on 32 points with five games to play. In this week's show Chris and Steve examine those two matches and Villa's four-point return and, of course, look ahead to this Sunday's FA Cup Semi-Final against Liverpool
