Yep good player but if he had work rate he could have achieved more. Shitter midfielders won England caps like Jenas and Murphy

Actually surprised he didn't get even a call up at any stage. Also did well for Newcastle when they came back up in 2010.

Had a ridiculous goalscoring record against us.

Ex Dortmund and Real Madrid player Christoph Metzelder has had his house searched by police in search of child pornography after his ex GF claimed he had sent her such pictures on Whapsapp.

He's not been arrested but they seized his phone and PC.

Emanuel (?) Pogatetz (?).

Good shout. Fulham was it?

A couple of forgotten Everton strikers came to mind recently. Apostolis Vellios and Biliyaledtinov (completely guessing with the spelling there). Hell throw in Nikica Jelavic I'm there.

Yes, I think so. I remembered the existence of the excitingly-named Moritz Volz as well the other day. I'd forgotten him for a long time. Some people said he was bad, but I said he was  . . .

Spoiler

Boro. Think they had a back 3 of Woodgate-Huth-Pogatez one season which was pretty good for a mid table club.

Actually with all these Fulham mentiones remember Papa Bouba Diop? Think he was part of first wave of African powerhouse DMs to hit prem. Was a decent player but never got a big move likes of Malbranque and Boa Morte did(also scored the winner for Senegal v France in 2002 WC).

Have a weird feeling he actually played for SHA at some point....

Birmingham City have agreed a short-term deal with Papa Bouba Diop.

After training with Blues for the past few weeks, the 34-year-old ex-Senegal international has passed a medical and will sign a one-month contract, subject to a successful visa application.

Diop made his name in English football with Fulham after joining them from French side Lens in the summer of 2004.

He spent three seasons at Craven Cottage, where he was a team-mate of Blues manager Lee Clark.

From the picture seems he also fitted in a spell at West Ham so became quite the journeyman in the end.

He's having a really weird second half to his career. He'll retire and the record books will show he's got a Premier League winners medal, an FA Cup winners medal and a bank balance so big that a million pounds is barely a rounding error yet he was basically finished by the time he was 27 without even getting injured.
