Zatman
Boro was really the place to go for interesting strikers Maccarone, Ricard, Nemeth, Job, Afonso Alves for a start even Boksic, Ravanelli should have went better places
rodders0223
Boksic is a legend. Didn't Maccarone score a winner on his debut, I thought he was going to be the dogs bollocks. I was expected some slick haired sexy Italian fellow and then that bald chap turned up.

Sure he was quoted as the "missing piece of the puzzle" about 42 times in the rags, looked half decent, never really got a sniff, went on to look decent elsewhere I'm sure Bradley and Gil will be alongside him in a pub quiz question somewhere in 10 years time

VillaChris
Yeah he was very limited like McCann. Just used to pass the ball 5 yards sideways all the time in the rare games he did play.

You think of Marcus Berg I reckon. Went to Groningen, big move to Hamburg which didnt work out. Have had a lot of injuries. Missed more than a season with back problems. He is now at Panathinaikos and score a lot of goals for them.

Maybe you haven't heard of him anyway but scored a few goals for Donestk, Newcastle signed him on loan.....and don't think he's even played for them in the premier league incredibly. http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/curious-case-facundo-ferreyra-one-8814064 Edited April 30, 2015 by VillaChris
