LukeMoore
like everyone else said that really is a top post, we have great people running this club. Great Post. But I still think its a very small minority of fans who are getting worked up and in a frenzy for no reason. Let me explain....For arguments sake lets say theres 40K passionate villa fans and 2K of them come on this site. Out of that 2K I'd say about 20 maximum are acting like its the end of the world and are being very negative. So my point is I still think most fans are very exited to be a villa fan at the moment but are remaining quiet and patient while letting the club do what they have to do in a professional manner. Agree with all that as well.

stewiek2
I have to disagree with you on the 'on elong episode of Dads Army' thing. Yet in your own way I totaly agree with you. It was never about panicking as a show. but showing the enemy that even the most normal person, no matter how dellusional, how wet, how old, how pampered, how weary, could make a difference. Just like this new era for Villa. We all count. We all have a say, a voice. We all post to the general who puts what we say to the board. We all are weary, some panicking, some delussional, some wet, old, pampered etc, but we all, like the platoon at Walmington-on-Sea, have, with Randy, Martin, the general etc, a common goal. Incidentally it is one of the most perfect pieces of television writing, acting, well the whole packages ever seen. In the football world, VIlla can be that complete package too. 1977
Fantastic stuff NV. Everyone who posts negative stuff on here should read this every morning to remind themselves how lucky we are. Fans have a right to moan if they want but should have the intelligence to see the bigger picture.

Don_Simon
excellent, excellent post. i just cant understand all the worries and stresses people seem to have on here. the new board have done absolutely nothing to warrant the sceptimism, they will deliver, its just a matter of right player, right time. Hookie98
Any chance that we're trying to get 32Red bought out and replaced by a stronger multi-national brand? Hence only seeing the back of the shirt so far?
Moderator NurembergVillan Posted July 4, 2007 Author Moderator Share Posted July 4, 2007 Unlikely I'd say.
Hookie98
....He's trying to secure further major sponsorship alongside that which he has already secured with Nike.... Was just a thought/hope. Really dislike the on-line casino branding I have to wear around like a walking placard for gamblers annonymous.
Bazdavies79
So, here goes - we will be having a press conference where at least one, maybe several MAJOR players will be unveiled along with our new kit. I don't buy into that theory, I'd love it if I were wrong.
sheriffvilla
NV, my mate at work is starting to get very panic-stricken about life at Villa, "nothing has changed" & all that... Anyway when I showed him your article he calmed down big time, like I'd given him a sedative or something. You've done well there fella.

ianrobo1
question NV, is it correct that kids shirts next season can not carry the sponsorship if it is beer or gambling companies, I read somewhere Liverplop had to remove Carlsberg
Moderator NurembergVillan Posted July 7, 2007 Author Moderator Share Posted July 7, 2007 I don't know mate. I'd need to look into that. If it's the case then our Spurs shirts would've had no sponsor logo on, but I've not heard that we did that.
