He had his armband taken, people tried to rip his boots off, and bit him. I initially didn't have a problem with the post match pitch invasion, but hearing our captain talk about how he was frightened to be on the pitch has made me reconsider, we need better security than this. The fans running on the pitch before the end of the game took the gloss off the result sadly. How thick have you got to be to run onto the pitch with your team two up and potentially risk the game being abandoned. Also disgraceful scenes in the upper north as the Albion fans must have thrown at least 20 chairs and god knows how many other missiles down onto the Villa fans. I think it is a stupid idea putting away fans above the homes ones. Bottom line is there were too many tanked up knob heads at the game and not enough stewards or Police to control them. I wouldn't imagine the FA will be particularly willing to turn a blind eye to it either, given our disciplinary issues this season.
