I'm going to try to remember to do this each month. Please remind me if I forget.

This poll will be open for the first week of the month.

'Fraid the Sherwood feelgood factor faded for me after about 45 minutes of his first match. He has the look of someone who knows he has too much to do in too few matches.

I voted for 1-4 because it's my birthday this week and I want to dream

I hope we can just about manage 17th on the last day. Anything above that would be a big bonus anything less would be a blight on our proud history.

Are you archiving all of these results?

I'd be interested to see how the optimism fluctuated throughout the season once it's over. Although I imagine it won't creep much above "Slightly pessimistic"

What with 'Jihadi John and the IS Raiders,' the Russians looking to kick off at us/Ukraine any time soon, radical Africanism, the state of English Cricket, the failure to see that England are really not that good at rugby, and Chelsea (words removed) winning the League Cup...

And we get to Villa. It's turned my beard grey.

I think life has kind of taken a bitter turn... laced with pointless inevitability, misery and doom.

Just thankful I have my health, I have my wife and daughter and I have a job. Nothing else in the world is making me smile right now. #heavenknowsI'mmiserablenow

The first week in March is going to be proper horror show to be a Villa fan.

Deep deep deep shit.

Relegated.

Looks like maybe Lambert worked miracles keeping us up twice but it was too many rabbits to pull out of an Aldi super saver magic hat to make it 3 in a row. Sherwood has shown to be in possession of gigantic balls by just taking us on but the rapid evaporation of all the positivity will be complete if we don't beat Albion, at that point we're pretty much finished I reckon.

So dissappointed, really thought we would improve this year and instead all the wheels have fallen off our bargain bucket wagon. Time to go down, get rid of who doesn't want to be here, put a young side together who can bring us back up.

What a difference one positive result makes. Suddenly, life feels quite bearable again... For the remainder of the season, I just don;t know what will happen. But after last night... Some relent in the ongoing decline of our football club. It feels just a little bit more mint today :D  :D

At a glance, it's slightly optimistic for Sept & Oct, and slightly pessimistic and below since then. Edited by snowychap

Wouldn't 18-20th and 13-17th be more useful voting options? Seeing as that separates relegated and not relegated.
