Czechlad
I honestly have no idea what type of line-up let alone what formation to expect.
flamingsombrero
Think we'll get off to a good start before being pegged back. A point I recon.
dont_do_it_doug.
How **** boring are Stoke these days. They don't even have it in them to be shit. Classic Mark Hughes side. I'd take a point, stop the rot.
tomaspg
bacuna should start this game imo. sure he does his fair share of misstakes each game but thats because he actually tries to go forward and do something rather then the endless sidewards passing game. Stevo985 Posted February 18, 2015 VT Supporter Share Posted February 18, 2015 how about.... Guzan Hutton Vlaar Clark Sissokho Westwood Sanchez Gil Delph Sinclair Benteke Subs: Given, Weimann, Cleverly, Okore, Grealish, Bacuna, Agbonlahor That team oozes balance! It's exactly the team I've wantedus to play for a while now It won't be that. That's the team and system Lambert was working towards. Sherwood will shake it up. It'll be 4-4-

dont_do_it_doug.
Guzan Hutton vlaar Clarke cissokho Bacuna Sanchez delph Gil Sinclair Benteke Swap Sinclair and Gil and have Gil drop a little into "the hole" (cue GIF) and you've got yourself a deal matey. Those 3 (Sinclair, Bacuna and Gil) are interchangeable during the game too. Sherwood has already said he intends to play them in their natural positions, that still fits IMO. I think Sanchez and Delph would make an excellent middle 2.
DCJonah
If we lose, does the Sherwood Half-time Talk Magic narrative collapse? Do you want it to?
Demitri_C
i would like to see gil behind tekkers and sinclair and bacuna on the wings with delph and sanchez in middle drop cleverly and westwood
smetrov
Guzan Hutton vlaar Clarke cissokho Bacuna Delph westwood Gil Weiman Benteke I feel Sherwood will spring a surprise - Ive toyed with Given - or maybe Bacuna at FB - But from what I hear its back to basics

smetrov
7-0 villa. Sherwood off to an absolute stormer!! I think 2-0 would be the very best we can hope for. wouldn't rule out a draw to be honest - although with stokes injuries that would a dissapointing result... Wezbid
I haven't been for years but I'm in the Midlands this weekend so me and a friend (Liverpool fan) are wanting to go to this game. Can you buy tickets on the day?
villasam82
Dad's coming this with me. The two games he's came to this season we've won (Leicester league and blackpool cup). I'm going to stick my neck out 3-1 villa win. Edited February 18, 2015 by villasam82
AvfcTheObsession
Not letting me quote for some reason, but Wezbid, Without a doubt you can. Ticket office at Villa Village (North Stand end of the ground) is where you need to go.

dont_do_it_doug.
We won't sell out, but I would buy in advance if you want to sit anywhere in particular. You can buy online and print (on standard A4) or collect. Takes 10 minutes.
roonst83
I'm always worried when there's positivity around the place and we usually f*ck it up on the pitch. There's been lots of hype, plus with Tim's comments of "we'll be fine" etc - all sets us up for massive failure this weekend. Will be a very tough game, a win would be huge - but i'm too nervous to allow myself the thought of us doing that. Stoke will make it difficult and Crouch and Moses will cause us problems. avfctom89
I'd go with this Guzman Hutton vlaar Clark aly Sanchez delph bacuna. Sinclair Gil Benteke think this offers width and a well balanced midfield two , and gil could be be fantastic behind benteke
