dudevillaisnice
I'm going to this and so far this season I have seen us win when I've been so... Looking forward to it.
villa89
Must win This. We have to start winning our home games if we are going to stay-up. Another turgid 2-0 loss will negate and new manager effect and we'll be doomed.

Isa
I guess I was just assuming they were down near us. Anyhow, they are a team we should beat dammit! I think this is the perfect time to face them. With the injuries and a couple of drummings recently. I don't see us losing it at least...then again, I did genuinely not envisage us losing the Hull game. I'm half-expecting Sherwood to go with his favoured 4-4-2: Guzan | Hutton Vlaar Clark Cissokho | Bacuna Delph Cleverley Gil | Benteke Sinclair Edited February 16, 2015 by Isa
dudevillaisnice
Can anyone confirm the last time we won against them at home was the 08/09 season? Crazy if true.
srsmithusa
Critical that we win. Points are good and all that, but as the great deliverer of half-time talks said, "winning becomes a habit." We need to build of the energy and new manager buzz from this weekend past, and keep it rolling. Otherwise the old patterns of thinking snap back into place too quickly. Really looking forward to seeing how Mr. Sherwood sets us up.

PaulC
Its not worth guessing the team he will pick. We have some certainties but I guess he will look at yesterdays performance and tweak it a bit after looking at the players in training,

sir_gary_cahill
Can anyone confirm the last time we won against them at home was the 08/09 season? Crazy if true. Well that's not true because that was the season we drew 2-2 with them after being 2-0 up with 5 mins to go
Enda
With his man of the match performance, I'd keep Shay in goal. Guzan hasn't faced competition in three years and I think it's starting to show. I'd also leave Westwood out of the squad to make sure he doesn't take any corners. Given Hutton Vlaar Clark Cissokho Bacuna Delph Cleverley Gil Weimann Benteke

heid3ster
I don't think putting Gil on the wing in a flat midfield four plays to his strengths. I'd rather see us go 4-4-1-1 with Gil in just behind Benteke, Bacuna on the right wing and Sinclair on the left.
Condimentalist
I don't think we have the players for 442. I'd set up: Although you could make a case for including Cleverley ahead of either Westwood or Delph, and maybe Sanchez as well for physical presence. AVTuco Posted February 16, 2015 VT Supporter Share Posted February 16, 2015 (edited) No pressure Timothy. Tim doesn't crack. No way! But I may, because this will be the third match in a row I'll miss due to travelling! Edited February 16, 2015 by AVTuco
juteface
Or something similar for me. Not so sure about Delph as an attacking mid, but he does drive forward.
