I'd have no issue with what he said if there was any accuracy in it.

I'd like to see him go back to Tottenham as manager for a couple of seasons and see what happens.

He wouldn’t last 6 months.

Their fans know his limitations and could see through the bravado in his first spell, Some I know told me exactly what we were getting and they were bang on.

Rather hilarious video of Tim missing a sitter of Rosenthalian proportions from his Norwich days making the rounds on twitter.

Can't link it so here it is from another site.

NORWICH POACHER TIM SHERWOOD SKIES OPEN GOAL FROM SIX YARDS OUT AGAINST BRISTOL CITY, 1991 (VIDEO)

He may possess the managerial acumen of a Maris Piper, but Tim Sherwood was a perfectly decent central midfielder in his day – as his three England caps duly attest.

In fact, back in 1999, Sherwood became the first player to be given an international debut during Kevin Keegan’s tenure when, aged 30, he turned out for the Three Lions in a 3-1 win over Poland in a Euro 2000 qualifier at Wembley.

However, his serviceable reputation certainly wasn’t centred around a keen eye for goal, with Sherwood averaging roughly three or four goals per season in all of the Premier League campaigns leading up to his England nod. Not bad by any stretch, but not particularly great either.

To be honest, his predatory instinct (or lack thereof) was fairly evident from a young age…

He was already celebrating :lol::lol:

Either that, or he's doing the old Babe Ruth thing and is pointing to where he's going to to hit it out of the stadium :D

I watched a few Tottenham games when he was managing them and it was fairly obvious he wasn't going to last long there.

I was really surprised we went for him. Although he might have kept us up I thought the decisions made after that and not getting rid of him sooner set us up for the season we had when we were relegated.

I think both Sherwood and Garde got hung out to dry at their times with Villa due to the rambling mess behind the scenes.

Right place, wrong time.

In the case of Sherwood, i would say he is the wrong bloke for any club at any time.

Sherwood blistering start became a burden in the end for him and we inevitably slipped down to our level

I think getting found out for having a high line, no second tactic, rubbish with subs and a lot more is where it became a burden for him. No tactics, no idea, no solutions.

To be fair, he did spark a bit of life in to us when we needed it.

He tripped over the plug on our life support on his way out though.

That's a nice metaphor.  It elicits a nice picture in my head, so thank you for that Patrick whackerson.

Why don't I hate him like the rest of you?

I don't hate him.  I suspect as with most topics, the more middle-ground you are, the less motivated you are to tell everyone you're on the fence.  I find him humourous.  I find his unflappable self-confidence to be fascinating and commendable, and utterly bewildering, hence the hilarity.  He didn't get us relegated, so I've no long-standing ill feeling.  Bringing him in wasn't his fault.  He did his best and was found wanting, as he always will be.  Basically it's not his fault that he's him.  But I can't help admire on some level the black-belt levels of blaggery that has gotten him the jobs he has held over the past few years.  And we'll always have that cup run :D

Losing Benteke, Delph and Cleverly and replacing them with shite didnt help either

True but if he was found out earlier and not get us to a cup final or keeping us up then i suspect he would have never got the following season
