True. Obviously Lambert is telling them all to play brilliantly and then the players are going out on the pitch and ignoring him and playing how they want rather than following their manager's instructions.

Obviously Lambert is telling them all to play badly and then the players are going out on the pitch and doing exactly what they're told - pass the ball to the opposition, trip over the ball and lose your marker.

Lambert is the person who decided to play a high line against a fast-breaking team. Lambert is the person who has dictated a high-possession style which concentrates on ball retention to the detriment of attacking play, pulling players out of position to ensure an easy pass and leaving huge gaps that are easily exploited by the opposition. If the players are playing badly it is Lambert's job to get them playing the way he wants them to. It is his job to dictate shape and formation, to give the players instructions on movement and to inspire them when they are feeling down.

So go on, tell me again how today's performance is entirely down to the players and Lambert bears no responsibility at all.

what a load of shit. Has anyone worked out how much it costs per goal yet?

23 matches @ £30 average = £690/11 = c. £60 per goal so far. great value.

hence why i never bothered getting a season ticket this year (first time not bothered now  for 10 years) and went 9 away games last season!! simply knew we would be worse this season than last!

Everyone was bad mostly due to tactics not the players

Tell me where in the tactical instructions Lambert told Sanchez to pass to the opposition as often as possible?

When a game which is accepted as a probable loss still ends up being a humiliating spanking you know we done goofed. We are a laughing stock now with the time since last goal stat. 10 hours is truly unforgivable.

No silver lining of a goal, but Sinclair looked decent in his cameo and Gill has obvious quality. That's the positives out of the way.

We could probably write an essay of things which were absolutely disgracefully shit today per **** player, but suffice to say everyone bar the afforementioned should be **** ashamed. No passion, no confidence, no desire, no leadership.

The players still don't look like they suit what they're being asked to do FFS!

I would usually just say the players were very poor today and place a bit less blame at the managers door, but we were absolutely shocking and we've simply had too many days like today. It is the managers job to stop the rot when there are obviously problems forming. Even when we were scoring this season it was random Benteke goals scored and assisted by himself.

Subs were way too late.

Etc.

he gave him one of those self help tapes you learn while you're sleeping except he put the wrong tape in 'how to pass to Arsenal players' rather than 'how to pass a football to another player'

previously we couldn't score but at least were not conceding too many. now we've got nothing to cling to. chronic lack of confidence throughout the team. Guzan was abysmal, Centre backs looked horribly out of depth. Sanchez was back to his early days in the shirt where half his passes go straight to opposition. Delph and Cleverley couldn't get in the game at all. Benteke offered less than nothing - what happened to the player who used to physically dominate the opposition defenders?

Gil was the slight glimmer of hope, at least managed to put in a couple of dangerous crosses and look vaguely like he knew when he got the round thing at his feet. can't judge the subs 'cause the game was way over by the time they were on.

Lambert's game plan played into Arsenal hands & while there was resiliance at 1-0, there was nothing left after the 2nd.
