Callum
Unforgivable decision to not play him today, Sinclair was a mess.
sir_gary_cahill
Don't understand the decision to drop him, he's one of our best players in my opinion, he should be back in the team next game

PaulC
Seems funny that two managers now have decided against picking him. Could it be Gil just isn't that good!
DCJonah
No problem from me. Didn't deserve to start but I'd have brought him on.
momo
Protecting Hutton and Bacuna was the main idea today, so understandable that Gil had to settle for the bench. Edited December 5, 2015 by momo
bobzy
STILL needs to start every game. He makes things happen.
Stevo985 Posted December 13, 2015 VT Supporter Share Posted December 13, 2015 I'd still like to see him given a go centrally. Not sure he'll get the chance if we carry on playing 4-3-3. Maybe in the cup. Did well when he came on today though.

AndyGray1985 Posted December 13, 2015 Visiting Supporter Share Posted December 13, 2015 Gil could be suited to a team like Everton, Swansea, Leicester - I think he'd have offers if he can't get a starting place this season

He seems to be more rated by fans than by managers, though, to be fair

VillaChris
I don't mind him but judging from a lot of the comments on this thread he is overrated and certainly not our saviour. He started the Everton and Watford games and did very little so I don't have an issue with him being benched. I think he's best in small doses, he does alright when he comes on as sub. Zatman
Yep he is terribly overrated, he is good technically but has no pace or a right foot and maybe does take too many touches just like Wilkins said, He actually reminds me of Bannan
