Tomaszk
Totally unsurprising how good he was. Glad he didn't hand in a transfer request. His casting aside last season was a farce. Every single argument against this can be answered with one name. Charles N'Zogbia.
Wainy316
Is Zog injured at the moment? Sherwood seemed to like him last season.

itdoesntmatterwhatthissay
My brother said he was excellent even if he looked a little lost at the lack of movement in front of him?....my brother called Ayew a slow Gabby....hmm, don't quite agree there but by god do we need a striker who runs the channels properly. BOF Posted August 26, 2015 Moderator Share Posted August 26, 2015 I wonder if we can line up like this in future games when fully fit. -------------------Guzan-------------------- Bacuna----RIchards----Clark----Amavi ----------Sanchez----Gueye------------- --------------------Gil----------------------- Traore---------------------------Grealish ------------------Gestede----------------- You'd have neither Westwood nor Veretout in the side? The 2 players most capable of instigating an attack? Noppety nope.

CrackpotForeigner
I'd love to see that setup with Veretout in place of Sanchez, just because Gana and Veretout are the players I selfishly want to see more of at the moment.

Definitely want Gana there.
DCJonah
With Grealish out and Traore looking unlikely, the pressure is on Gil to create things for us.
AVTuco Posted August 29, 2015 VT Supporter Share Posted August 29, 2015 Well now he will get a chance. Hope he makes best of it. I think he will.
kieranavfc
Without knowing who exactly is 'sick' and assuming Gabby is the other one, I reckon we'll line up like so: Guzan, Bacuna, Richards, Clark, Amavi, Westwood, Veretout, Gana, Gil, Sinclair, Gestede. Stevo985 Posted August 29, 2015 VT Supporter Share Posted August 29, 2015 I can understand why he's not. He was absolutely blowing out of his arse on Tuesday night. He lasted the initial 90 minutes, but in extra time he was really struggling. So I imagine 2 games in a week might be too much for him after Tuesday. He'll come on in the second half I reckon. Xela
Bring him on after 60 mins to exploit a tiring Sunderland
Dr_Pangloss
A little bit of a mixed bag but IMO offered infinitely much more than Bacuna and did some very good things. He really should have scored but at least it was his passing and movement which created that chance. He also played some very good passes, again something which Bacuna completely failed to do. bobzy
Looks unfit but that's unsurprising. I think (hope) he'll play a big part this season though.
Razor
Not at his best but still looked like the best player on the pitch.
