Bit late to this one.

My 10, in no particular order:

Smoke Fairies - Smoke Fairies
From Scotland with Love - King Creosote
El Pintor - Interpol
May - Broken Twin
Familiars - Antlers
Brothers and Sisters of the Eternal Son - Damien Jurado
Urge for Offal - Half Man Half Biscuit
I Break Horses - Chiaroscuro
Stay Gold - First Aid Kit
Nobody Wants To Be Here & Nobody Wants To Leave - The Twilight Sad

Personally, I've not bought that much music this year - I think it's been pretty ordinary, overall.

Whilst I would probably agree that 2014 has not been as strong as the preceding couple of years, there has still been some excellent music made. Great to see Todd Terje and Clark on so many lists here as well  :thumb:

I won’t rank them, but here’s ten more:

Call Super – Suzi Ecto

Fatima - Yellow Memories

Dean Blunt – Black Metal

Grouper –Ruins

The Bug – Angels & Devils

Kassem Mosse – Workshop 19

Leon Vynehall – Music for the Uninvited

Andy Stott – Faith in Stangers

Bohren und der Club of Gore – Piano Nights

FKA Twigs - LP1

If I can have some new old music too then the Sun Ra compilation, In the Orbit of Ra, has been making me very happy as well.
