maqroll Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 What are you buying your loved ones, and what's on your own list? I've made one purchase so far, I'm getting my nephew the Dark Knight Trilogy box set. He's a massive Batman fan, but just turned 12 and hasn't seen any of the new movies, so he'll be excited to get them. I'm hoping for a cordless power drill. If I don't get it, I'm going on strike. P.S. Jesus died for your sins.
Stevo985 Posted December 2, 2014 VT Supporter Posted December 2, 2014 I got a cordless power drill for xmas last year. I was baffled by that present choice and it's sat on the shelf for the past 11 months. Haven't touched it once. I'll swap it with you for a PS4
Rodders Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 I've asked for an electronic toothbrush and a shirt from the family, whiskey optional if they're generous. So far, splitting a day trip to a spa for my mum with my brother, unsure on dad as he never reads or watches the things he used to ask for, probably ask if he needs anything in particular, best mate, a personalised whiskey tumbler, best mate's fiancée - haven't a clue, brother unsure, young ( 15yo) sister equally unsure. Last year I got the brother a set of kitchen knives laid out in a samurai sword style layering, this year, probably a t-shirt. Sister - ?? What do you get teenage girls? It also borderline appals me my sister is nearly 16. ( I am 29 and I'm rarely home so in my head I'm still convinced she's about 8/9 )
Seat68 Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 P.S. Jesus died for your sins. But not mine. Bought the wife, amongst other things, Rebecca's World. Mint condition and it cost an arm and a leg.

Xela Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 Have a small family so Christmas isn't too bad. I usually get my Dad some vouchers/cash as he's fussy and whatever he wants he buys straight away so you can never buy for him. Think my Mom said she wanted a new laptop.. will have to ask her again to make sure! Have no other family. Friends it will just be buying each other beers and whiskeys!

choffer Posted December 2, 2014 VT Supporter Posted December 2, 2014 I've spent a ridiculous (relatively) amount of money so far. Was busy patting myself on the back for having done all my shopping, running through the list: Parents - Check Brother - Check Sister-in-law - Check Nephew - Check Sister - Check Brother-in-law - Check Niece - Check Nephew - Check God-daugter - Check Staff - Check Girlfriend - Ch........Oh F*** it. Guess I've still got more shopping to do.

useless Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 If people just spent the money they spend on others on themselves then everyone would be a lot happier and would actually get what they want. 1
