We fought like mad and one bit of quality won it for us. For all Palace's dominance there wasn't a clear cut chance created by them and for that we have to give credit to all 11 of our players.

Hutton absolutely brilliant, and I honestly think if we did not have him we would be in the relegation zone at the moment. Solid in the tackle, clever with the ball at his feet, and most importantly he knows how to slow the game down and relieve some of the pressure. Never thought I would ever say that!

It was pretty awful stuff save for Benteke's goal and the defending from Hutton.

 

Worryingly, I think that's what we have to look forward to for most of the season.

On top of the obesity, excess alcohol intake and general anxiety, I'm not sure my ticker will take it.

We were utterly hopeless throughout, bar maybe 15 minutes of the first half. In a way it was a good thing Cole got injured because Sanchez's first half performance was the only reason we got a foothold in the game and got our goal.

 

After that... utter dross. We won though which at least puts an end to the run we've been on.
