Genie
Currently winning his first home game in Spain 3-0, Carlos Vela hat trick. I hope he does well in Spain.

PaulC
Real Sociadad lost 4-0 today and that flattered them. The football Moyes's team are serving up is so dull and negative.
Genie
Since he took over the team bottom of the league: 0-0 draw 3-0 win 0-0 draw 4-0 loss today. I don't think that's too bad to be fair, he's put a bit of daylight between Real Sociedad and the relegation zone already.
Czechlad
He is not going to come into a new league and set it on fire. I think his goal is just to keep Sociedad far away from relegation then next season begin to produce. He is in a new league that plays a different style and he is not using the players he signed. PaulC
fair enough but this negata Since he took over the team bottom of the league: 0-0 draw 3-0 win 0-0 draw 4-0 loss today. I don't think that's too bad to be fair, he's put a bit of daylight between Real Sociedad and the relegation zone already. yes the last 0-0 draw was in the cup against a lower division side. In both that game and the one today they didn't try to win either.. He won't win the fans over with that style of football.
dudevillaisnice
You have a point. Watched the game earlier and they had 0 attempts at goal even at full time that stat was the same.

PaulC
In fairness he has come out and admitted that they should have lost by more than 4 goals. He's come in and tried to make them tougher to beat but that will only get you so far! I personally wouldn't want him at Villa. It did a good job at Everton though as is now being proven with Martinez struggling in his second season. Guess its harder when you are in Europe but the squad he has is very old now and its showing. romavillan Posted December 11, 2014 VT Supporter Share Posted December 11, 2014 Did he stick with 4-4-2 in all of those games? I have a feeling he's going to have to be more flexible over there, not sure 4-4-2 trying to get it wide early and get crosses in the box is going to cut it in Spain. Zatman
in fairness Sociedad have a British style culture in their football and like a bustling no.9 so wouldnt think the fans will have a problem with his style of play
villa89
Woeful manager who bores the arse off me by just showing his face. He always reminded me of MON is some ways. He sets his team up to be very hard to beat, he doesn't use substitutions well (or at all) and doesn't rotate his squad properly. Gets his team up for the big games when they are underdogs but can't coach a team who is supposed to win to go out and control a game and dominate. Got found out when he was at Utd. Isa
At home it was alright, if I remember correctly. He just never beat any of the big sides away. Edited December 11, 2014 by Isa
