Seen a loose link to Sako from Wolves. How much would he cost?

Seems he doesn't want to leave Wolves unless it's for a top 10 club, but the source seemed very gossipy. I reckon around £2-3mil?

Just been browsing the news clips on the OS and see that we have until Monday to decide on making Cleverleys deal permanent:

Birmingham Mail: Villa have until Monday to decide whether they want to sign Tom Cleverley on a permanent basis. The club have an option to buy the on-loan Manchester United midfielder before the end of the transfer window if they decide that a long-term move would be beneficial. Cleverley will remain at Villa Park until the end of the season regardless, but if Villa fail to act in the next four days, they face the risk of losing him to a rival in the summer.

Also noticed on SSN website that we have a press conference booked for 13:30pm today. Obviously for Sinclair but hopefully for some other good news too.

Delph (who pretty much all of us thought was leaving), Sinclair, Gil and possibly another signing (hopefully Ali) is a far better window than I was expecting.

Oh no, how will we cope. Break out the violins.

£2m - £2.5m touted in the Birmingham Mail yesterday with a "special" price set for the Baggies coz they're the Baggies. He is out of contract in the summer apparently

Aston Villa have reportedly thrown their hat into the ring of interest in Wolverhampton Wanderers ’ prized asset Bakary Sako.

Reports emerged last weekend that Tony Pulis was keen to take Sako to Wolves’ arch rivals West Bromwich Albion as the new boss aims to put a stamp on his team.

And Paul Lambert’s Villa are now also thought to be in the race for Sako’s signature along with their Premier League relegation rivals QPR.

But a source close to Sako, who is away with Mali in the African Cup of Nations, said the powerful winger would only move this month if a top ten Premier League club came calling.

That source said it was Sako’s “dream” to play in the Premier League with Wolves, but that he would probably look to move on in the summer if that ambition was not fulfilled.

Wolves are seventh in the Championship, three points away from the play-off places and still only seven points off leaders Bournemouth and Derby County, with both still to play.

The club are understood to have set a price threshold of around £2m-£2.5m for the 26-year-old, who is out of contract in the summer.

A ‘special rate’ is said to have been set for Albion as Wolves know they would incur the wrath of fans were they to sell arguably their best player to their Black Country neighbours.
