Grasshopper
My first ever football memory was George Best on TV, He was my hero as an individual player. But my first season watching live games was our relegation to Div 3. Would have been easy to be a ManU glory hunter. But I saw the name ASTON VILLA FC, those beautiful colours, heard the Holte End singing and knew that I'd be a Villa-fan till I die.

The Fun Factory
Just got the 140 yr booklet with the programme on Saturday. A nice addition to my Villa collection.
sexbelowsound
Brought a tear to my eye that video did. I showed it to a colleague who doesn't understand why people get so emotional about football. She gets it now.

PaulC
Does anyone remember us celebrating our centenary ? I know I was young , but if I recall correctly , to honour the occasion we played the great Leeds side of the seventies , although I think we lost the game , my ooveridng memory , of the game , is the players kicking balls in to each stand before the kick - off . Can't see that happening again , mlnd you , the way were playing , the balls would probally either end up on the stand roof or in the road . Yes still got the centenary programme somewhere. Great video that!
