You might want to shake your head at your own logic because as others have said we still have control over our own destiny, by virtue of being above some teams in the table. We do have control of our own destiny. If we win all our games we will not be relegated. We don't have to rely on other results if we take care of business, though it won't hurt if the other teams are losing. But it doesn't make a difference if Sunderland and co. win 10-0 (maybe in Sunderland's case as they have a game in hand) if we keep winning too.
