rodders0223
Matthew Broderick is one of the worst actors to achieve mainstream success. I cannot watch a film with that guy in for more than 5 minutes. That includes that Ferris Buller and Wargames malarky.

Stevo985 Posted October 13, 2014 VT Supporter Share Posted October 13, 2014 Ferris Bueller is the exception to the rule. Bloody love that film. Other than that I'd agree with the Broderick is shit point of view.

dont_do_it_doug.
This is impossible to do, I've got loads more still Yep, that's always the issue with these sort of lists. I have a standout favourite, but many, many 9/10 movies that are on a par. Also, I'm watching so many "new" films all the time that are capturing my imagination in ways it has never been captured before that it's almost impossible to quantify what is "best".
Stevo985 Posted October 13, 2014 VT Supporter Share Posted October 13, 2014 That's why I always distinguish between "best" and "favourite" My list of the top 10 "best" films would bear little resemblance to my favourites.

Watched Gone girl and Kill The Messenger yesterday, Latter starts off very good will watch the end later.

Guest
Here is my Top 10 list of movies that will probably appear in a lot of other people's favourite film list, but that I never really liked: Godfather Rugeley's porn film #1 Miller's Crossing Tree of Life Rolf Harris: Can you guess where it is yet? Debbie Does Dallas Lost in Translation Babel Titty Titty Bang Bang Princess Bride Interesting selection.

Yep, completely agreed. While Avengers may be my favourite film ever, it's not as good in an acting/direct/script sense as many films.
