trimandson
Yes, he know's he's on borrowed time, and let's be honest, Hendrie, a troublesome average midfielder, or Bowyer...?

TRL
Mr.Bowyer is a good footballer, but has something fundamentally wrong with his head. Cant believe he didnt get the sack. Imagine any other jobs, if you started punching your co-workers, you would get the sack.

tonyh29
remember him playing at Villa park once and ripping us apart (prob during his leeds Spell) and stnading out on that day in much the way that gerrard did at Villa park this season .. but then the last 3 or 4 times I've seen him he has looked very very average so maybe the money and what not has got to him and he's become lazy but the guy has abilty without doubt ..whether anyone can get it abck again is one of lifes gambles ..possible a gamble of the Cantona size

ozvillafan Posted April 8, 2005 VT Supporter Share Posted April 8, 2005 Let me see.... Lee Hendrie is hated by (at a rough guesstimate) about 50% of posters here, mostly for being a prat off the field and not being our saviour on it, despite his loyalty to the club and giving 100% each game. So then Bowyer would be an obvious good buy because (delete as appropriate): - He's never in trouble off the pitch? - He's never in trouble on the pitch? - He's always in good form? - He'd be the fan's darling? - H'ed be a good influence on Ridgewell, Moore and Davis? - He'd beat up Hendrie? ligs
He's a better footballer than Hendrie, although clearly that's not the only thing to consider about him
trimandson
I quite like Hendrie, always have done, and probably always will do. But Bowyer is a better overall player.
Rodders
No. Liability. Hendrie's a liability too - but I'm thinking more of dressing room here. Lee Hendrie is just stupid now and then, ee Bowyer's a prat pure and simple.
