Rugeley Villa
if we get hammered 4 or 5 then ok it will be a blow but so what, end of the day we have made a good start regardless.
Popular Post Qwpzxjor1
12-1 on Villa are really good odds. For those of you not sure on how betting works - that means if you put £1 on Villa to beat Liverpool, you'll lose £1. (I love that joke)
PaulC
Its hard to imagine we will do as well there as we did last season. Anfield is a bit of a fortress. If we get anything it will be a marvelous result.
AVTuco Posted September 9, 2014 VT Supporter Share Posted September 9, 2014 (edited) It's going to be tough. Hoping for a win naturally, but don't feel confident. Let's hope we don't sit back all game. If we do, we'll lose for sure. Edited September 9, 2014 by AVTuco

darrenm
Can't see anything but a loss I'm afraid. They have too much firepower for us. If we had Benteke and had settled with the new arrivals we'd have a chance. 3-1 to them.

BleedClaretAndBlue
Yeah we've done well up there lately especially last season. Probably the best i've seen us play in a long time. That game should have been over by half time. Sturridge is a big doubt for the game and I didnt see Balotelli turn out for Italy yesterday, not sure whats up with him

Condimentalist
We've done well up there of late, and we're on good form. Also Lambert's record against Brendan Rodgers is excellent. And Sturridge is out. However I still think it'll be a tough ask, especially with Benteke out. We'll need to do a job on Sterling especially as he has become quite the player since we last played them. If I were a betting man I'd say home win, but I think we can realistically take home a point if we perform well.

Pelle
I'll go with my common, boring hope for this game: I hope we give our all and give make them fight hard for the points that I think they'll get in the end. They're at least a step up from us, so I don't expect anything. Hoping for some kind of upset, definitely, but not counting on it.
troon_villan
Would take a point if offered right now but think we'll win 0-5.
barryod11
We are being completely under-estimated by the pundits & bookies (backed us at 14.5 on Betfair).. I feel we have the potential to cause an upset. Liverpool away is the type of game where Gabby can come through with one of his rare star performances. Weimann will have no fear after his outstanding performance in Anfield last year. If the back 4 can keep up their current form we are definitely in with a shout and wouldn't be surprised if we come home with at least a draw.
