Guest
Is it just me, but is there a slight feeling of positivity/optimism right now? Granted the win has helped, but the signing of Sanchez, appointment of Fox and general good feeling has certainly increased recently. The question is... what is making you feel good about Villa right now?

Daniel
Could say the same about last season. Beat Arsenal on the opening day and it was thinking maybe this is the year our youngsters take off. I was so wrong.
ArteSuave
Foxxy Tom Fox has arrived to turn into us one of those well run clubs that other fans are jealous of. Hopefully...

AshVilla
As optimistic as i'am at the minute i think we should treat things with an air of caution Yes we beat Stoke on the opening day of the season but we also beat Arsenal on the opening day of last season Consistency is everything and it is something we lacked last season too often we got a good result only for it to be followed by an extremely disappointing one in the following fixture Hopefully with the experience we have bought in we can now progress and add a bit of consistency to our game and cut out the stupid mistakes I expect a point at least against Newcastle on Saturday UTV Edited August 21, 2014 by AshVilla

Richard
Nothing . Leaned through years of painful experience not to get too excited or count your chickens with Villa then anything is a bonus and not a disappointment like it has been

ViolaVillan
Could say the same about last season. Beat Arsenal on the opening day and it was thinking maybe this is the year our youngsters take off. I was so wrong. The thing with the Arsenal result last season was that it felt like a freak result, with penalties and a dodgy red card. The win at stoke however felt like the result of a team coming together. Coupled with off field developments, this gives me cause for a very cautious form of optimism. Roll on Saturday!
Enda
The improvement in the back four (and Sanchez) means it's unlikely we'll lose the majority of our matches at home this season. Progress!
