Malmo get a crucial away goal in the qualifiers against Salzburg, 2-1

We stole that result. Outplayed for long periods. We are better at home so a good chance to turn this around.

think Sparta Prague are a better team than Red Bull so its possible. some of defending in first half was quite poor so hope can do it in 2nd leg :D

Collymore saying in twitter that Costa dived, right stuff from him.

Stan Collymore @StanCollymore

If the dive starts before the contact, then it's cheating. But so many sheep have been sucked in by pro cheats and divers making excuses.

There was a caller to one of the American shows on Sirius XM FC during the World Cup who suggested that the best solution to diving would be to make it a bookable offense to exaggerate contact (e.g. throwing one's arms out, which doesn't seem to be a natural response to being e.g. tripped) instead of requiring simulation while still assessing the fouls for the contact. So if you're going down easily in the box, you'd still get the penalty, but also a booking.

Having only 3 English sides in the CL could have huge ramifications.

About 80m Euros is allocated for the UK in the CL. If Celtic qualifies, then about 8m of that is carved off for the Scottish pool, and then then the 4 English clubs split the remaining 72m (so an average of 18m apiece, which is about what Chelsea and City got last year from the media pool). The shares within the countries vary based on how many matchdays a club is active for, etc.

So:

City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal, Celtic: 18m per English club, 8m for Celtic (regardless of how far Celtic advances)

City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal: 20m each

City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Celtic: 24m per English club, 8m for Celtic (regardless of how far Celtic advances)

City, Liverpool, Chelsea: 27m per club

Also, the Europa League rights have, I suspect, long mispriced the chances of one of the big clubs failing to qualify for the CL group stage, so Arsenal (and Celtic, to a lesser extent) showing that it's quite possible can only increase the amount of money available for the Europa League teams relative to the Champions League teams when the new new contract starts in 4 years.
