HanoiVillan
Maybe some minutes at the end off the bench, if the game situation suits it? That way he can get an ovation.
VillaChris
Our record against Alan Pardew teams is shocking....05/06West Ham 4 Villa 0Villa 1 West 206/07West Ham 1 Villa 1Charlton 2 Villa 110/11Villa 1 Newcastle 011/12Newcastle 2-1 VillaVilla 1-1 Newcastle12/13Newcastle 1-1 VillaVilla 1-2 Newcastle13/14Villa 1-2 NewcastleNewcastle 1-0 NewcastleSo that's 1 win from 11 games against him as a premier league manager and he's hardly been managing the elite.Still recent history suggests this will either be 1-1 or 1-2. I'll go for 1-1.

VillaChris
Given they hadn't won for about 100 games back then....yes. We always seem to have a problem against direct british managers as our records v Pulis and Big Sam aren't much better.

Mantis
We've got a pretty poor record against Newcastle since they came back up - something like 1 win, 2 draws and 5 defeats. Then again, we had a dreadful record against Stoke too. I'd play Sanchez for this if he's fit enough to allow Delph and Westwood to get forward more. DamsonwoodVillan
I'd actually go with the same team as the Stoke game. Still worry we've got the tools to be a good away side but will struggle to win at home. Guzan Hutton Vlaar Senderos Cissokho Westwood Delph Richardson Agbonlahor Weimann N'Zogbia 1-
Popular Post OutByEaster? Posted August 21, 2014 Moderator Popular Post Share Posted August 21, 2014 Given that Pardew fancies himself as a bit handy on the sidelines, what do you reckon the odds are of him getting decked and than taking a shoeing off the dynamic duo? I know it's wrong, but I'd be glued to that and applauding like a skinny seal at feeding time.

I know it's wrong, but I'd be glued to that and applauding like a skinny seal at feeding time. Came here to float that idea. Pardew can't control himself on the touchline, and with Keane being as barmy as he is, all sorts could occur! I'd bring Sanchez in for Gabbo and get him to squash Cabella. 8pints
3-1 win. Guzan Hutton Vlaar Senderos Cissokho The Rock Westwood N'Zogbia Delph Richardson Weimann Agbonlahor, Bacuna and Grealish as impact subs. Obviously this depends on how the game goes. Frobisher
I was just perusing a notebook and on the first page I have noted that I had a dream where we draw with Newcastle 2-2, coming back from 2-0 down. Lump on.

DCJonah
A lot of teams joined us when we did our 19th minute applause for Stan so I would hope we're pretty respectful of this.

BleedClaretAndBlue
Getting excited for this one just got to drag a few pals out early enough for a few beers. Think we'll play well and draw. 1-1, Vlaar to score just to put himself in an illuminously-lit shop window
