Site pages being redirected (Possible Adware issue)

theboyangel

Question

Limpid,

I've read through the other posts (dating back to June) in relation to being re-directed from VT to various sites. http://www.villatalk.com/index.php/topic/11495-possible-vt-adware/

I've started experiencing issues for the past couple of days, with VT being redirected to http://69.162.111.227/uk/index.php which states 'OUTDATED JAVA PLUGIN DETECTED' (my Java bits and bobs are completely up to date)

This is also happening when viewing the site on my Nokia mobile phone

Thought I'd better let you know

Cheers TBA

If it was on computer I'd make the assumption I had some kind of malware, but given that it's on a month old OnePlus One running the stock version of the OS and no software installed from non-Play locations, I can say with a fair degree of certainty it's not that kind of issue. Sounds like one of the ad vendors is trying to pull a fast one on a high yield ppc campaign to a play store landing page. Ironic really when you think what their reaction would be if you tried to auto redirect to their served ads to rack up clicks

Just happened again and this time I was prepared

On android kitkat, chrome, over lte. link ishttp://spaces.slimspots.com/mobiledirect/?uid=219&aid=21017&j=1

Directed to a game on Google play. Happened in general chat when I clicked on a thread

That's one I also get redirected too. 3g. Chrome mobile. Happened this morning about 2-3ish am.

If it helps I can report the exact same issue. Started noticing it just before Xmas and assumed malware so formatted phone but issue still there.

As with others only happens on mobile version of VT, all other sites fine, when using 4g.

Setup; HTC M8, Android 4.4.4, Google chrome and Vodafone.

Hope you find the issue
