after pulis leaving is the first manager to leave now obsolete?

technically did the season start after the charity shield?

Nah it's still pre season. Chelsea and United have played pre season friendlies since the CS.

Barry Bannan has 2 goals and 8 assists in 79 games in the Premier League - now he is getting more assists than Hazard, Özil, Eriksen, Mata, Sterling and Yaya got last season? Someone put in that Jennifer Lawrence-GIF please.. Also, Crystal Palace scored 33 goals in total last season, don't think they will do much better this time around. 3(12) might just signal his game-time this season though, that is much more likely.

Curse the shitty internet in Norfolk. Consider this a placeholder until I reach civilisation.

Champions: Chelsea

Champions League qualifiers: Manchester City, Arsenal, Manchester United

Relegation: Burnley, Aston Villa, Crystal Palace

Champions League Winners: Bayern Munich

Top Scorer: Daniel Sturridge

Flop of Season: Luke Shaw (though it might be more difficult for a defender to be considered a flop than a forward who doesn't score very many goals)

Signing of Season: Herrera

1st 2nd Managerial Sacking*: Gary Monk

* Pulis had already left Palace by the time I wrote this, and also I will take a manager leaving his job for any reason (sacked, resigned or mutual consent) as my answer.

Bump for the home straight.

Mixed bag from me.   Looking like I nailed the easy bit, Chelsea winning the league and the other clubs qualifying for the big cup being the obvious favourites.    Hopefully only 1/3 on relegation (sorry Burnley!) and Bayern are still in with a good shout of the Champions League.    Sturridge's season has been ruined by injury, don't feel too bad about that one even if he is miles away from the award.

Happy with the calls on Shaw and Herrera, Balotelli was a higher profile flop but cost about half the money Shaw did and while Herrera probably hasn't generated the headlines Costa and Sanchez have this season he's been Manchester United's best signing and looks to be a hell of a player.

Couldn't be more wrong with the Gary Monk call though.
