StefanAVFC
Thought he looked good. Worked well with Westwood (freed him up to play around the 18 yard box)
tonyh29
I've not been in the match thread but if he really got man of the match id like some of the drugs those voting have been on He started well enough , one thumping challenge in particular would almost certainly have seen many a prima Donna rolling around for a few days in agony However to me he looks like a player that will struggle with the pace of the premiership .. He seems to need to readjust as he takes a first touch before laying it off and this could be his downfall He got poorer as the game went on , I think the knock he took added to a lack of match fitness took its toll I won't write him off after 1 game but he will need to up it a gear or so to be a success Question for me would be where he fits in the side , presumably Delph and Westwood play so with him do we play 4 - 3- 3 or will we play some form of 4 - 1 - 3 - 2 ? electronicmaji
No player coming from any other league has ever not had a struggle to get into the pace of the Premiership. Especially at a defensive position of all things.
Mantis
Really wasn't that bad tonight but he didn't really have much to do.

samjp26
Try to remember that he had done less than 2 weeks training since going out of the World Cup
darrenm
Thought he looked fantastic last night. Did his job brilliantly. Always wanted the ball, kept it moving. Class player.
Delphinho123
Didn't go to the match last night but hard to gage exactly how good a player is from villatalk. Too many posters blinkered by wanting/hoping for him to be good to get a reasonable opinion
Popular Post Qwpzxjor1
You'll know when Sanchez has had a good game when Westwood/Delph play well in the attacking third of the pitch. What Sanchez does is never going to really go noticed, the occasional good tackle maybe, but what he will do is keep things tight and allow the other midfielders to push forward. I don't expect to see Sanchez ever getting Man of the Match, but if Westwood does, then we know Sanchez has played his part well.
R.Bear
Poor today. Didn't impose himself and gave away that stupid free kick needlessly.
Swerbs
Doesn't look that great yet but hoping he just needs time to adapt.

Farlz
Just needs to settle in. I'm sure he'll be a big player for us.
PaulC
Needs to get up to pace. Not a starter for me yet.
jonno_2004
Will take a couple of months to settle at the very least I think. Wasn't it until Sunderland away in Lambert's first season when Westwood actually started and had a decent game. Our current midfield three has contributed to us getting 7 out of the 9 points on offer, Carlos can take as long as he wants to get up to speed. smetrov
Not a starter for me....we looked more likely to concede when he is on the pitch !!! Daft free kick given away...and looked a bit over excited to me..
VillaChris
Needs to get up to pace. Not a starter for me yet. Yep, thought he might start today with a weeks training and playing in midweek but wise from Lambert as he looked a bit short when he came on. grobs
He hasn't shown any reason to be ahead of anyone in our midfield yet. Thought he was poor when he came on, giving away that free kick was stupidity but he justs needs time to understand the English game
