Even if we got Sanchez, I'd be amazed if he played considering work permit etc.

If we signed him today or even tomorrow, I'm sure we could get him cleared for the weekend, surely? He has a bunch of international appearances, that helps I think?

I'm normally relieved and happy when the football season starts up again.

Not this year. I'm absolutely dreading it.

I can only see a defeat and a total shitstorm on VT come 5 pm Saturday.

Me to. This season is one I am dreading, I usually have some small hope of a tiny bit of success, maybe even a decent cup run. I have nothing this year.

How about:

------------------------Guzan---------------------------

Hutton ------Vlaar ---------Senderos ---- Cissokho

-------------- Westwood ----- Delph -------------------

---- N'Zogbia ------ Bacuna -------- Richardson ----

----------------------- Bent --------------------------------

Team includes Hutton, who I don't really want to play, so I would be perfectly okay with Cole playing behind the striker (if fit) or Grealish playing there (if the manager feels brave) and Bacuna as RB.

I'd pick this one, but with Bacuna on the right wing, and Cole in the middle if fit. Hutton is in for now.

I think I'd go with this, think Okore needs a bit more rest, I think Grealish deserves to start, I'd hope Bent would put away the chances those three behind him would create, I hope Delph and Westwood would be full of energy and that back four would back them up, with Bacuna being an outlet (Without leaving us exposed) and Guzan stays solid in goal.

I'd like to see Gardner get some minutes off the bench and for it to be a wake up call to Weimann and Agbonlahor that they need to pull their fingers out.

I hope we win 3-1 and all my hopes come true.

Me and Harry Belafonte will be there welcoming in the new season.

You've explained your decisions very well except for one, Stevens?!
