Rob182
Has/ is anyone putting any bets on this World Cup? Outright winner, each way, top goalscorer? Paddy Power have one of their promotions on, put £20 on a player to be top scorer, and every time that player scores, you get a £5 free bet. I've put £20 on Neymar, he was second favourite after Messi.

Milfner
Only had some top-scorer bets so far, but I reckon the golden boot winner will come from Argentina. Their group of Bosnia, Iran and Nigeria means they could be handing out some hammerings - though Dzeko at 100/1 is worth a dabble e/w I think. TrentVilla Posted June 8, 2014 Moderator Share Posted June 8, 2014 I've had a accumulator on the group winners, £20 with possible return of something like £2500. Long shot but worth a punt I thought. Eightfold(s) 1 Standard World Cup 2014 Group A - Group Winner – Group Winner Brazil @ 1/5 – £20.00 2 Standard World Cup 2014 Group B - Group Winner – Group Winner Spain @ 8/11 – 3 Standard World Cup 2014 Group C - Group Winner – Group Winner Ivory Coast @ 7/2 – 4 Standard World Cup 2014 Group D - Group Winner – Group Winner Italy @ 13/8 – 5 Standard World Cup 2014 Group E - Group Winner – Group Winner France @ 8/11 – 6 Standard World Cup 2014 Group F - Group Winner – Group Winner Argentina @ 1/6 – 7 Standard World Cup 2014 Group G - Group Winner – Group Winner Germany @ 8/15 – 8 Standard World Cup 2014 Group H - Group Winner – Group Winner Belgium @ 8/13 –

VillaChris
Went Higuain topscorer last time...he scored a hatrick in the first game which made me think it would be a formality...and he didn't score in any of the other games. You'd think he'd be a decent shout again tapping in Messi's assists. One of the attacking midfielders from Brazil could be a decent outside eachway bet...maybe Oscar or Paulinho? Amo69
I've gone £25 on both Spain and Argentina to win World Cup with sky bet. They got an offer on where they refund stake if Brazil win it.
flamingsombrero
A few months ago I put a couple quid on Italy to win outright + Cavani to get golden boot. Just waiting patiently now to collect my five grand.
Zatman
done Aguero for top scorer, they are in a group in which Argentina should score 10 goals minimum then probably Russia or Korea in 2nd round, might also throw an each way on Bacca at 100/1 as for individual games, Croatia is 10/1 opening game, not unknown for an opening day shock
TrentVilla Posted June 9, 2014 Moderator Share Posted June 9, 2014 Also backed Augero for top scorer, it's the obvious choice.
Folski
Also backed Augero for top scorer, it's the obvious choice. Argentina have 2 teams outside the top 33 ranked in their group, my friend is talking up Higuain at 22/1 but he hasn't featured in their latest 2 friendlies versus Slovenia & Trinidad & Tobago. Aguero has managed 32mins, while Messi has got 122mins, there's just so much firepower in the Argentina team. Messi will need to do it at a WC to be considered the best ever, lot of pressure on him, if Aguero had a few more minutes I'd be lumping on him, Messi has been playing in the hole behind two strikers in their last 2 games so with Aguero slightly further up the pitch you'd imagine he's the better value at 14/1 compared to Messi's 8/1. Zatman
he was 18/1 last week and now he is down to
Folski
Also think Brazil are so short at 3/1, I mean the team that won the 2002 WC had Ronaldo, Rivaldo, Ronaldinho, Robert Carlos, Cafu, Kaka, Denilson.

krisagg75
italy are woeful, living on past reputation.there's no way we should be that price.i'm not patriotic just seen how poor italy are,how they've struggled.they ain't good anymore, with lallana, sturridge, berkeley, sterling we've got pace and goals, defence is crap though. the dutch are poor as well and chile in south america at 2's is unmissable.
