I'd almost forgotten the league campaign was over, such is the subdued and pleasant hush of Man City winning it again. Imagine if Liverpool had won. It has its place, for example for Stan, a minute's applause is fine, encouraging him to fight on. A minute's applause for the victims of the Valley Parade fire seems incredibly inappropriate.
