He's okay for what we have now but the truth is he's nothing special is he He's not Franco Baresi, but he's good for an average PL club. Much more concerned about Okore who is still unproven. Vlaar is great for us, I wasn't sure about him last season but he's been much better this season. We need another centre back though, Baker just isn't good enough and Clark probably as well (although he did show some promise earlier in the season). He's okay for what we have now but the truth is he's nothing special is he Why are we looking to replace the guy whose a Dutch international, our club captain and who we win vastly more points when he's in the team, but we're not concerned about the guy who appeared in 3 PL games and then suffered a near career-threatening injury? Some people on this site don't seem to like or rate Vlaar very much, but if you're thinking his position is under threat this summer, you're very much mistaken, and rightly so. 4 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
