Not sure why we should doubt the admin guy.

Broke the Culverhouse story.

Broke the takeover story.

So why should we doubt what he says about the owners? 2/2 so far.

And yet another Villa forum is born. We sure punch above our weight when it comes to Internet chat.

Also with Davis\Simpson - I was reading they took over Texas rangers when they were in administration. Could it therefore be feasible they may still want us if the worst happens (Relegation)

How does baseball work ?  Are there transfer fees - relegation promotion ?

Could the club have contacted the site and they've mentioned another bid to make it sound less done than it potentially is.

No + lol = that comment

‘Broke’ the Culverhouse after Trent mentioned something on here.

Have we been bought then?

Got nothing right off his own back yet.

Admin > Trent

No transfer fees. Either player trades or free agent signings.

No Relegation either.

If memory serves, he bought the team while they were teetering on bankruptcy.

I think the Lerner statement shows we are going to be taken over.

No it means its being discussed, not that it WILL happen.

The new owner might be worse than Lerner.

Saying that we only want the club run better not large spending, thats the most important thing.

I agree. But I don't believe any of the rumours about the buyers.

Didn't they pay $50 million for a pitcher?

You are right. Totally forgot about the Yu Darvish deal. International players (usually from Japanese baseball league) often demand transfer fees. But within the league and most countries don't use the fee system.

Trent said 'something' about as vaguely as possible on here (no offence Trent, appreciate the info etc just making a point) and then this Admin guy was very specific about what was happening.

Exactly. It would have been denied by now if something wasn't going to happen.

Not sure what the last two points have to do with it.

On TBAR a Villa fan that says he has been a fan of the Texas Rangers since 1970's says that Tom Hicks (of Liverpool fame) dragged Davis/Simpson into buying the club at auction when he was desperate to sell. They weren't going all out to buy the Rangers off their own back, Hicks convinced them to go for it.

Thats not exactly my own first hand knowledge but willing to believe someone who says he has supported that team for 40 years
