Who realistically should be the next villa manager?

Given how Lambert has got our lads performing currently, I'd sack him immediately and appoint someone from our past.

Just to tie us over till summer. Christ Big Ron or Brian Little couldn't do any worse and they've been out the game for 10 years.

I'd rather go down than have Allardyce at our club.

:crylaugh:

I wouldn't go that far CED but then having Allardyce as manager signals more of the kick and rush style football most of us hate, but it would probably mean we'd be sitting comfortably outside of the relegation dog fight.

Allardyce would be a massive improvement on Lambert.

Nigel Spink said on Radio WM tonight "bearing in mind where the new owners might come what about Klinsmann?"

He also added (albeit off topic) "Gareth Barry phoned the owner or the manager up and asked to come at the start of the season that's what I heard".

I myself cannot see Klinsmann wanting to make the move to B6. But I am sure he could bring in a couple of decent German players if he did.

It is also nice to think Barry thought of us before moving to Everton and I am sure we would have been much more comfortable now had we found the money to pay the wages they were able to pay to sign him.

Hope it is klinsmann! Got a nice bet on him becoming the next manager!

Seriously! What the fark has he done? This is a derp choice that Lerner would make. The success he had with Germany was all done to Jogi Loew.

Oh you have no idea of how he totally changed German football from top to bottom and thus the national team now being strong again. Klinsmann would put a structure in from top to bottom that would benefit us for decades if implemented.

I'm in the not-Jurgen Klinsmann camp. Surely there's someone better out there? He's managed in club football all of 1 season and done a poor job.

It was more to do with how he changed things so every level played the same style, how he implemented a structure regards player recruitment and laid the seeds that subsequent managers are now benefiting from.

Yeah Wolves tried that.....

If West Ham sack Alladyce and we go down - I think he would be a strong contender.

Klinsmann remains a big name in world football and I'm sure with him in charge with the scenario of a takeover we could attract some exciting names to play for us.

Similar to when Chelsea made Gullit player manager all those years ago and they started to attract major talent to their club.
