Posted April 3, 2014 Moderator Share Posted April 3, 2014 Last seasons Lowton and I'd agree with you - but Lowton has been so poor this term that I think we lose more by not having Bacuna at right back than we gain from having Bacuna in midfield. We're so light in midfield it's ridiculous - we have one injury to KEA and we have to think about changing formations. Fulham playing well by all accounts and unlucky to lose last week and us minus our decent (though out of form) player. Will surely lose this game now as they will be battling for their Premier League lives and we are apparently on the beach already with no strikers (who score goals). Can hear the party poppers going off in Craven Cottage from here as they look forward to their easiest away game of the season. Zhan_Zhuang Posted April 4, 2014 Share Posted April 4, 2014 I think we'll give Fulham a lifeline here as we are such a generous team ;-) On team formation and selection we should really change things up a bit because some of them such as Weimann haven't really done an awful lot this season. I'd give Tonev a go because he is quick and direct and maybe move Bacuna into midfield. That reality is even more of a factor than any teamsheet news (which itself isn't good), manager tactics or anything else. He seems to have all the relevant weapons to succeed just needs a bit of time to see if he can put them to use. If he cant get any game time now what was the point of signing him. Thats what I think he will go with. Then helnuis or robinson coming on for Holt. I am wondering if Clark could figure in midfield - although I don't rate as a CB - he may do a short term job in midfield ... Whatever happended to that new generation of villa academy starlets....
