Hope it will be this but Baker instead of Clark. It won't be though cause sadly Grant Holt is going to start.

After the last two games and considering who the opposition are, I'd like a bit of a 'what the hell' line-up rather than going with the same tried and failed options up front:

Guzan | Lowton Vlaar Clark Bennett | El-Ahmadi* Westwood Delph | Robinson Helenius** Tonev (4-3-3)

*Bacuna if he isn't fit.

**Weimann if he isn't fit.

I don't know where our goals are going to come from. The line ups that people have been posting just make my heart sink due to the total lack of quality up front.

Time for Lambert to earn his corn.

It'll be interesting to see who he goes for tomorrow. If Gabby is out then I'd go with Albrighton-Weimann-Tonev with Bacuna-Westwood-Delph in the middle.

Hopefully the front 3 will be able to create enough movement for the midfield to work with. But if it's still locked at 60/70 wouldn't be surprised to see Holt/Helenius come on and we just hit it long.

But yeah can see this being a nervy one.

After a 40+m spend and even considering our injuries that's a piss poor line up to represent our club. No wonder we have struggled.

Consider that nearly half that 40m spend is out injured and the other players averaged under 2m per transfer.

Apparently we've never lost at home to Fulham in the PL. Worrying stat when you consider our handy knack at ending other teams' bad records. I don't care how we do it, but please lads, let's get the 3 points here. If we can get the win, it'll do a hell of a lot for confidence, especially since we'll have to (yet again) prove to ourselves that we can get results without Benteke.

I have considered the injuries as already mentioned in my post and even when those players were fit we haven't exactly been knocking any trees down have we. Edited by shaggy

Just saw this:

  • Aston Villa are unbeaten in their last 14 home league games against Fulham, whose last win was a 3-2 victory in a Division Two game on 3 March 1973.

Which means a guaranteed win for Fulham unfortunately.

This game all depends on the crowd and their appetite for singing and getting behind the team.lol

we have now reached the point where the players are completely bomb proof.....imo they owe us a 6-0 win in a  ground where you can hear a pin drop.

Considering nearly 15m of that 40m is injured. You're looking at a squad built on 25m. Jeez man, give it a rest.
