It's crazy that Real Madrid have that kind of counter attacking power down both flanks.  If the clearing header had gone to Ronaldo on the right he has the ability to do the same. How do you even think about defending against that? You aren't even safe from an attacking corner when you are set up defensively to be 3 on 1 against the runner!

Bale Watch: 16 goals & 15 assists in 30 appearances (24 starts) for Real Madrid. (sauce)

The spanish league is just pathetic. Like watching super heavyweight boxers take on a blind quadraplegic monkey every week.

Barcelona and Real Madrid should just play each other 38 times.

Yep, it is shite outside of 3 teams, but then the premier league isn't much better.

Dembele gets his first ever start for Fulham up front. Looks like another manager doesn't want Darren Bent, maybe we won't be able to ship him out after all.

It is a concern but someone will take him (only 1yr on his contract remaining next season and probably available for £5m approx)

The fact a 17 year old who hasn't ever started a game for Fulham has been chosen ahead of Bent indicates that he just isn't cut out for this level anymore.

Maybe he'll join one of the clubs that come up, Leicester maybe?

We can always hope QPR come back up - they'd throw loads of cash at him ;)

Yes, one of the promoted teams might take a punt on him but probably only on loan... (again)

That's exactly what I expect IF somebody is going to come in for him. A loan move that sees us get some of his wages paid until the end of his deal, similar to Ireland at Stoke I guess, it would probably be a good move for a promoted club to be honest.

I think the game has evolved a bit over the last few years, especially over here. Most teams only play with one real striker now and that striker is expected to do far more than simply score goals, which is obviously a problem for a player like Bent who isn't the best in terms of work rate and even passing ability etc.
