Latest appears to be the cause of the crash was a 'catastrophic' fire on board. Still unclear, of course, what could have started a fire.

Interesting article here on MH370 if anyone is interested

Scientists working on the search for Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 are more confident than they have ever been that they know where the airplane went down. And yet after looking in the wrong place for 27 months, the search is about to end for want of funds

On a similar theme , I did wonder what's in it  for Australia as they have spent all those millions ... they have no obligation under the international civil aviation convention , so presumably the millions they've spent is a good will gesture that they hope the Chinese and Malaysians will remember next time some trade deals come up  ?
