Did the Cleverly deal need to be so last minute? Were there no other options? Not convinced the Canales deal would have been in the same ball park. Doesn't stack up to me but that's Villa for you. The Cleverley news broke 2-3 days ago and it was obviously delayed due to him and his agent trying to get more money or a move to Everton.
