Oaks Posted March 6, 2014 Share Posted March 6, 2014 I can honestly say I've never heard any racist abuse aimed at black footballers down VP but I've heard just about everything else. For some reason Anti-semitic/Anti Islamic abuse has been almost acceptable until recently. Then there's homophobic abuse. I will admit in my younger days I thought the Upson song was pretty funny and joined in. I've grown up now and realise it's not and never was acceptable. I think this will be at least 20-30 years before homophobic abuse is eradicated, you still hear "get stuck in you poof/bender/fairy" quite often.
