Guzan: 6 - Good save at the start, not much to do

Bacuna: 4 - Didn't cope with Zaha at all, should of played Benteke in instead of shooting

Vlaar: 6 - Decent, not much to trouble him

Baker: 6 - Surprising decent tonight

Bertrand: 5 - Noone trouble him quite a lot in the first half

Bennett: 5 - Did nothing of note, not quite Gareth Bale

Westwood: 6 - Played okay

Delph: 6 - Actually completed some passes! Good shot too

Albrighton: 7 - Our most creative player today

Agbonlahor: 3 - Utterly useless

Benteke: 5 - Not involved much, should of shot instead of passing

Weimann: 6 - Was in loads of space and making good runs, denied by great save

Gabby much more to blame for me too, the flick was class from Benteke for that golden chance, why he didn't hit it first time I will never know.

One outstanding save form the deflected Delph shot and then just a mind boggling save at the end. Sadly I don't think they were our best chances though. really should have scored a couple regardless of those great moments from Marshall. We really need to find some form from somewhere.

We're in big trouble if we can't beat Cardiff and West ham.

we need 12 points from 12 games, easily doable.

But games against Cardiff and West Ham should have been 6 points, imo.

Yeah, the thing is though we tend to also get results like beating Man City and Arsenal or the performance at Andfield so you can never pick which Aston Villa will turn up.

This game is a pretty good example, we looked like relegation candidates first half but were comfortably on top second half.

It's not often that this team finds a steady footing to dominate a half.  Unfortunately, we miss easy finishes that could put the game away.  Credit to Marshall for the save, but Andi had half the goal open and managed to find the keeper, and Gabby managed to tap dance his way out of a goal.  Disappointed that this team fails to find the net so many times from point blank range.

The defender got a touch on the ball just before it got to Weimann.

Cardiff went missing in the second half most teams would have finished them off.

Lambert took far too long to make the obvious substitution. Poor finishing from Gabby. He's not on form.

Albrighton and Delph again bright sparks.

We're only 4 points better off than last season.

I know it was his first start in ages, but I do wonder if there is any way back for Bennet

Yes, that touch made it a sharp chance, Andi hit a good finish that 999 times out of a thousand from that range is a goal. Just a stupidly crazy mental insane save.
