LondonLax
Why has it become acceptable to say "clever because he played for the penalty and created the contact" it used to be called cheating Wtf was Howard supposed to do there, just disappear? Howard went flying in feet first and missed the ball completely. It's a penalty all day long.
StefanAVFC
The 'contact' had absolutely no bearing on whether he was going down. He jumped over Howard and was on the way down. Left his leg in to ensure 'contact'. Dangerous way the game is going.
momo
Young might be back to his best. Great goal. Too bad Everton is getting spanked by Liverplop and their diving players.

That's all we can do - too often we blow good chances to pick up points. We need to beat the Boggies!
Rovers13
Everton with 75% possession in the second half, stat fans! I'm a huge stats guy, but posession is relatively meaningless. It's a means to and end. Chances and shots are what matter

Crap dodge Stirling launched himself over before Howard was even there. If he hadn't have done that, he probably would have been taken out. The fact that he was going down before the contact is why it was a clear dive and so bloody frustrating because they're being given as stonewallers in this age of football. Crap the way the game is going. Gonna be non-contact soon enough.

Watch it again, he hit the ball way away from himself, knew he had no way to run it down, and leapt even though Howard didnt touch him till he was on his way down. StefanAVFC
And it was so quick, that's why no Everton players are complaining. I don't blame the ref for giving it, I blame the players for so blatantly cheating.

There is absolutely no chance you'd be calling it cheating if Gabby was flying through on goal and the keeper rushed out and dived in tripping Gabby on his way through.
