My Dad's Birthday been this week so going to the Miller and Carter in Sutton Park after watching/enduring today's game.

Personally I really like the Argentine Steakhouse on Hagley road, think it's called Fiesta del asado.

Another one I like is these Generous Georges pubs that are starting to pop up, there's one in Cofton Hackett just past Longbridge. Best Pizza I've had in ages there and there's some good stuff on the menu.

Anyone ever been to a Taco Bell? Was the highlight of a friend's visit to the Arndale in Manchester a few months back, don't think there's one in the Midlands.

Pretty much, looked cheaper and nastier though to me, had a couple of looks at going to one in Canada, you seem to get a couple of everything with a meal deal or one of something for about a quid, they were all paired with KFC rather than stand alone, I went for a KFC double down instead

Whats the best Restaurant around the NIA/Brindley Place area?

TIA.

Some great places around there.  My best 4 would be:

Bank (upmarket English, great flavours)

Piccolino (upmarket Italian)

Cielo (upmarket mediterranean)

Thai Edge (errrr Thai food)

Haha never been in one, just had a mate who raved about it.

I would amusingly tell him the reaction on here when I next see him. ;)

I love Taco Bell!

but then i totally love Mexican food, and enjoy McDonalds, Burger King, etc.

Its cheap, low quality, unhealthy.... but tastes great :-)

Isn't Cielo Italian?

Both that and Piccolino are excellent shouts

Yeah.

Though I'm sure they used to market it as Med food... but doesn't seem that way anymore.

I didn't even realise Taco Bell had made it to these shores.

It's ok. As others have said it's like a McDonald's equivalent of mexican food.

So it tastes good and is an ok fast food option. But it wouldn't be the kind of "restaurant" you'd write home about.

Lasan is very nice. It feels slightly odd to be having curry style food that isn't in the traditional format but it surprises you and is gorgeous.

Saying that the last time I was in there I managed to order the only thing on the menu seemingly that actually was a traditional curry. Just an absolutely jaw droppingly good one.
